Smelly Sunday!

I received this candle for Christmas and I love it.

This is a 3 wick cassis and wild orchid fragranced candle by Next.  As you've probably guessed the candle smells of cassis and wild orchid, but it also contains sandalwood!

Unfortunately, I can't find this anywhere online :( BUT, I think another great scent is the Body Shop's Jasmine and White Frangipani Candle
Click for enlarged view

This is a perfect scent if you just want to relax and I am tempted to get this as soon as I've finished my 3 wick candle (only a tiny bit left!)

What is your favourite candle?

Seeing Double?!

As we all know Clinique started the "balm stain" trend in a crayon form by releasing their Chubby Sticks.  Since then other companies have released their own take on the "Chubby Sticks".  Revlon and MUA have released their own versions of the "Chubby Sticks" and they look identical - packaging wise.

Revlon have called theirs the "Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain", (bit of a mouth full if you ask me!)  When you apply the product it is like a balm and it's really moisturising.  Then it dries and becomes a stain that last quite a long time and they smell like peppermint. They're pigmented and it has got a twist up mechanism - NO SHARPENING!

MUA have called theirs the "Power Pout".  I think the MUA stain is a bit glossier than Revlon's, but MUA's doesn't last as long.  The power pout is similar in pigmentation and smell to Revlon JBK balm stain.

Swatches.

Top to bottom: MUA - Broken Hearted, Revlon - Honey, MUA - Irreplaceable, Revlon - Rendezvous

My favourite is Revlon's Honey as it is the most flattering on me!
They are both great and both are cheaper than clinique's Chubby Sticks.

MUA Power Pout: £3
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain: £7.99

Which one do you like?

My new haircare routine!

Lately, I have changed my hair routine since I've dyed my hair red.  I wanted a shampoo that would help to make the colour last.  I was using head and shoulders, no conditioner and then some Moroccan oil before drying my hair.  It did work for me, but I fancied a change.

I was on a mission in boots...

This is Aussie's colour mate shampoo and conditioner.  Normally, I don't use a conditioner because I find my hair gets greasy when I use conditioner.  I apply the conditioner to the ends of my hair and not at the roots.  Using both of these products has left my hair feeling really soft and nourished.  I have a sensitive scalp and I have had no problems so far! *fingers crossed*
Plus, I think the shampoo smells like almonds - divine!

I'm not using my Moroccan oil at the moment because I think my hair would get really heavy from all the products.  I use Moroccan oil as a heat protector, so I went on the hunt for a spray of some sort.

I'm currently using TRESemme's Heat Defence.  My hair feels smoother when I use this heat defence.  I don't think I will be skipping heat protector anytime soon!

NOTD! (Nail of the day)

This is the Nail Polish I'm wearing today.
Models Own - Indian Ocean

Bloggers went nuts about this nail polish ages ago, but I've only discovered it recently and I love it.
I don't think the pictures do it justice. It's a light blue nail polish with purple glitter in it.
This is quite a subtle nail polish and I think it's due to the purple glitter. It's not so in your face as other light blue nail polish because it's duo-chrome.

This nail polish is from the Beetlejuice collection from Models Own and retails at £5.

So now I'm a skater girl???

My latest obsession are skater skirts.  Even though it's still cold, I wear these beautiful skirts with tights or leggings.

I don't know why I need four skater skirts, no that's a lie, River Island had 2 of the skirts on sale for £10 each. I fell in love and bought 2 more. So don't blame me, blame River island. Plus, I'm helping the economy :P

I think I've featured this skirt before and it was on sale 3 weeks ago when I bought it. I went to River Island yesterday and they still had a few of these left on sale. You might be lucky. I think what drew me to this skirt was the geometric pattern!
I think this skirt will be one of my staple items in my wardrobe. I think this skirt will be very versatile, I can dress it up or down and I love the baroque print!
You can blame Estee from essiebutton and especially this post: Crazy for Coral!  Not only I'm obsessed with skater skirts, but now I'm obsessed with coral...
I had to have a denim skirt to. I can just chuck on a top and go with this skirt.

All the skirts featured are from River Island
I'm not promoting River Island, I just really like their skirts.
If there are skater skirts left in the sale they should be around £10, but if they're not in the sale they are around £16.
Also, New look have some for around £15.

Mellow Yellow Handbag

I think I've found THE summer handbag for this year and it's a corker!

I was on the hunt for a coral handbag for ages.  I was interested in buying the Kim Kardashian handbag from Dorothy Perkins, but at £45 I thought that was a bit steep for the quality.
So, I looked online, in shops and they would have something I like, but not LOVE.  I went to TK Maxx the other day and I saw this in the window and instantly thought "MINE".  It was the only one there and it is not the colour I intended, but I don't care anymore since I love it!

This is my beautiful yellow Steve Madden handbag!

I think I got this at a steal for £29.99!

Weekend Away!

I went to visit my family in North Wales this weekend.  It was a beautiful day in Caernarfon and I wanted to share some pictures with you!

Castell Caernarfon Castle

It was a sunny day and despite the cold weather people were sitting outside drinking coffee/pints or having an ice-cream.  Of course, I did some shopping while I was there.  I went to the Factory Shop (I've never been before) and bought some make-up.  In the make-up section they had brands like essie, rimmel, revlon and maybelline and the make-up was cheaper than in Boots or Superdrug. Yes, a haul is on it's way.

We had some lunch in the Blackboy and the food was lovely - generous portions too!  Plus, I think their toilets are the nicest toilets I've ever seen (maybe a bit weird, but they were). If you're in the area, I recommend that you go! Bwyd da a chwmni da!

Spring Scarves

It's pretty cold here in Wales, even though the sun is shining. So a scarf is an essential item for me for when I'm out and about.  Here are my scarves for this spring

I have four scarves to show you!

The first one is a coral scarf with dragonflies on it. This is a huge scarf which I absolutely love because you can achieve many styles with a bigger scarf.  Coral is in this season and when I saw it I had to have it.  Also it was 25%.  I bought this scarf in Sainsbury's from the TU range for £6.  I had this a while ago and I was really surprised to find that it was still online for 25% off! Click the link if you want to have a look at it.  Coral Scarf

The next I have chosen is from River Island. This is a smaller scarf in comparison to the Sainsbury's scarf.  It's a silk scarf and I think it's perfect for when it's quite warm because it's light.  Also, the scarf is covered in flowers and birds which is very spring-like.

This is a snood from River Island. It's mint green with robin's on it and it's snugly. Need I say anymore?

This is a floral scarf from new look.  It's quite small but I think the colours are beautiful and this scarf can go with many clothes.

Hope this has given you some ideas!

NOTD ( Nail of the Day )

It was sunny yesterday and I'm getting a bit tired of dark nail polishes. I love dark nail polishes, but I just wanted something brighter.

This is Max factor's Max Effect Mini Nail Polish in Diva Violet.

I like this nail polish because it's a MINI nail polish.  I'm more likely to finish this nail polish in comparison to my bigger nail polish bottles etc. Butter London and Barry M.

Also, I like this colour for spring because it's bright, but not too bright!

This nail polish retails at £3.99, which I think is quite expensive for a mini nail polish considering that Barry M nail paints are  £2.99 for a "normal" sized bottle.  BUT, I do love their nail polishes!

I also own the colour Fantasy Fire, which I recommend.  IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
Another colour they have (which I want to buy) is Graffiti!

It's 3 for 2 in Boots at the moment, so it's worth having a look!
You could get 3 mini nail polishes for under £8.
